Dear Councillor Ron,

Further to Michael's email the damaged planks on the boardwalk were replaced on Monday. There has also been some damage to the handrail on the lead up to this area. The staff are intending to repair that as soon as we have a replacement rail.

Best Wishes,
Mark Holloway

Dear Councillor Ron,

I sat down today with Paul Ambrose today. He is working on this project on our behalf. He is organising survey and tree works which should be undertaken in the next month. He also arranging all the necessary consents from the Environment Agency. Works can't commence until river levels drop significantly, something we've been waiting for months to happen, we need a sustained spell of dry weather for this to happen as groundwater levels throughout the rivers catchment are the highest they've been recorded. I know it's probably not what you'd like to hear, but I think that being realistic we could have to wait until spring.

Works to repair the boardwalk have been organised by the Countryside Team.

Kind Regards,
Michael Rowland

Dear Cllr Ron,

I'll talk to Paul about progress. I know he was aiming to meet Nick Colledge to get some tree works arranged to start with.

Michael

Appreciate your enormous work load, but would please like details of the agreed works for the restoration project on the Stour river bank, with now again the high water levels and looking two days ago at the safety fence one can see how much more of the bank has slipped away, thankful the fence is still it seems secure.

Appreciate as and when the works are planned.
